Publishing Technology opens French office
« Posted: February 15, 2011, 05:12:24 PM »

February 15th 2011 - Publishing Technology plc(LSE: PTO), the largest provider of software and services to the publishing industry, today opened a Paris office which will provide on the ground support to the French market.

Publishing Technology, which services eight out of ten of the world's largest publishers, already has offices in the UK (Oxford and Bath), the USA (Cambridge, MA, and Somerset, NJ), Brazil (São Paulo) and Australia (Sydney), and will open an office in India (New Delhi) in March.

The new Paris office will help consolidate Publishing Technology’s activities in France, and form a local sales and support structure for the wide mix of products and services the group provides.

The new office was officially launched today by Publishing Technology CEO, George Lossius, who has previously lived in France and has considerable experience in French publishing.

George Lossius, CEO, said: "We feel that it is very important that Publishing Technology should establish an office in France, as French-language publishing is a large and important part of the global literary, scholarly, educational and trade publishing landscape. Our unique combination of Management systems, Online systems and Market Consultancy means that we feel there are tremendous opportunities in France, as well as potential to help French publishers reach broader international markets. I am delighted to be announcing this new expansion in Publishing Technology's international business."

The company's activities in France will be initially be supervised by French-speaking Publishing Technology executives George Lossius and Emilie Delquié (a Vice President in the PCG division). Sales support will be provided by John Parsons and applications consulting by Lionel Clément, both French-speaking members of Publishing Technology's existing staff.

Emilie Delquié said: "This is an exciting new opening and a great way for us to be closer to the French-language market. Clients will immediately get access to experienced French-speaking members of staff and we will be recruiting and training locally, as our French office grows."

The new Paris office is situated in the heart of the Montparnasse area at 140 bis, rue de Rennes, Paris, 75006, France.

The Publishing Technology group enables publishers to focus on their core competences by providing a single, trusted partner for both technology requirements and business development services.
