Palm looks back on its Social Summer
« Posted: October 08, 2010, 09:27:40 PM »

WINDSOR, UK, 8 October, 2010 - Palm Europe Ltd has today waved goodbye to the summer with a look back at the hotter months as its Get Social This Summer campaign has come to a close. Palm's Get Social This Summer website and application pulled together hundreds of ideas for how people could have fun from June to September, while Palm had stands at Glasgow Pride, the Midlands Music Festival and the SW4 Weekender in London to make sure people made the most of the sun!

People feeling the onset of the winter blues can re-live these events with Palm's retrospective summer video, which is available online now at http://www.facebook.com/PalmUK.

The ideas on the Get Social This Summer website ran from the intellectual (the amazing Surreal House exhibition in the Barbican centre) to the dangerous (‘Gorilla Circus Flying Trapeze Classes', anyone...?!), the imaginative (the Spellbinder got people lost by weavings stories and songs telling the Tales of Aesop's Fables) to the downright whacky (surely nothing can beat the World Gravy Wrestling Championship!).

Palm recently launched its latest Palm webOS phones in the UK, Palm Pre™ Plus and Palm Pixi™ Plus.

Notes to Editors
Palm's Get Social This Summer campaign had a stand at some of the UK's biggest festivals, namely Pride in Glasgow (17th July), the Midlands Music Festival (17th - 18th July) and at the SW4 Weekender on 28th August. To help visitors make the most of summer visitors could enjoy a free manicure whilst also trying out the new Palm Pixi Plus phone.
