Desktop Virtualisation Forum Comes To London
« Posted: April 28, 2010, 07:42:42 PM »

London, 28 April 2010 – Addressing the urgent need for enterprises to reduce IT costs, but also to  increase the efficiency and security of their critical IT infrastructure, the organisers and researchers of the inaugural Desktop Virtualisation Forum (http://www.desktopvirtualisationforum.com) have announced a one-day open event taking place in London 24th May 2010 at the America Square Conference Centre.

The forum which offers free registration for attendees is designed to help IT managers in enterprises to reduce their costs and execute the best platform strategies for their business.

As a relatively new solution outside of North America, the event aims to demonstrate a walk-through of the key topics of value to IT managers. The morning programme is dedicated to making sense of Desktop Virtualisation and how the solution will work for enterprises from SMEs through to large corporates. It will also cover where desktop virtualisation is being adopted already and how it can be implemented quickly.  Special interactive breakout sessions in the afternoon will cover Green Technology, Sustainability and Green design in desktop virtualisation. A final breakout session will address the advantages and challenges of cloud security and desktop virtualisation.

“We are especially delighted by the participation of a range of experts from key companies involved in desktop virtualisation,” commented Denise Mansfield, director at Outsourced Events. “Supported by an all-industry presence, our own research programmes and unique content, with an exciting line-up of speakers, desktop virtualisation will be put on the map of all enterprises participating in this flagship educational and networking event”.

The Desktop Virtualisation Forum provides a key learning experience for enterprise end users, professional consulting providers, industry intermediaries and services and solution providers. The event includes the conference, special breakouts, and an exhibition.

Sponsors and partners of the event include: Citrix, AppSense, ThinPrint, Government Technology, Data Centre News Search, Outsourced Events and BroadGroup.
