Announcing System Center Online Desktop ManagerDuring the second keynote on MMS on the 29th of April, Brad Anderson announced a new product in the System Center product suite called. System Center Online Desktop Manager (SCODM). System Center Online Desktop Manager provides the tools to update pc's while they are off-premise.System Center Online Desktop Manager features: Host protection Desktop Monitoring Desktop Configuration IT Asset Management Update Management Remote Assistance SCODM will be updated every half year to include new features, like for example software distribution. It's expected to be released in 2010 and is now in beta with selected customers. SCODM is build on top of the windows update technology. To give an example on this technology: last month, MS updated 650 million pc's with Windows Update. SCODM work in a browser session and is build with Silverlight. Major advantage of this is that reports are linkable and can be sent to anyone.
