Write These Kind Of Press Releases For Results!
 by: Scott Foster

One of the most important things to keep in mind when writing press releases, is actually the frame of mind to be in when you begin to write.

This is very important because you don't want to come across as sounding too 'pitchy' or sales-like I talk about this in greater detail in my report:

"How to get a top spot on Google using Press releases"

A copy can be obtained below: http://nichejournal.com/pr.html

I mention in the report to try and write in such a way that makes you sound like a news reporter or journalist. It works! That's exactly what I did when I wrote the press releases for soap making and dog training which both had very good results.

I wrote them in a frame of mind where I was pretending to be a news reporter - offering an interesting report on each subject.

Often times, the words are already written for you and all you have to do is come up with a good press release by using the 'reporter' method I just mentioned.

What I mean by: "The words are already written..." Let's say you want to write a press release where the end result is to sell a product albeit an affiliate product, etc. The sales copy on a webpage of a product or service, will usually contain all you need for a potentially good press release.

To be more specific on this... let's say you really like the idea of making a few extra bucks a month by promoting affiliate products or your own products through press releases.

The first thing you do is obviously pick or choose a product somewhere, maybe at Clickbank or some other place that you can join for free and choose a few products to start with.

This is all I did with the Dog training press release -- I went to www.clickbank.com and looked around until I found something that I thought had a genuine interest.

Knowing a little about the demand is important too as you want tons of readers! And in my report you'll notice that I use a little tool to find how many queries a particular keyword is getting in the search engines. It's free to download and use.

OK, when you find something you think might draw an audience, quickly check out the sales page and see what the sales copy is like. A good sales page usually tells a story and many times the headline might even contain a few words you can use for your opening.

This just so happened to be the case with the Dog training ebook -- The headline became my opening statement: "Dog Obedience Training in one Evening - Who Would Have Ever Thought"

I just took the headline from here http://nichejournal.com/dog_training.html and commented on it like I was in disbelief. Drama works like a charm if you use it right and if it calls for it.

I this case, Training a dog in 'ONE' evening qualifies as pretty dramatic. It's either a bunch of hype or someone has really discovered something unique. Create curiosity in a reader's mind and they'll be powerless to resist clicking through and seeing what it's all about!
