CommVault Signs Distribution Agreement In New Zealand
« Posted: November 20, 2007, 04:32:40 PM »

Agreement Allows CommVault to Expand Global Footprint and Scale

LONDON, U.K. — 20 November, 2007 — CommVault® (NASDAQ: CVLT) today announced it has signed a distribution agreement in New Zealand with Value Added Distributors Ltd. (VAD), a leading solutions oriented distributor.  The agreement strengthens CommVault’s channel reach within the New Zealand market and continues the momentum of recent CommVault partnership and distribution agreements announced around the world.

“We are delighted not only with the technical understanding of our product that VAD has demonstrated, but also their eagerness and professional approach to marketing CommVault through an appropriate channel,” said Gerry Sillars, managing director, CommVault ANZ/ASEAN.  “We see a great opportunity to further develop CommVault’s share of the enterprise marketplace through VAD, which is servicing some of New Zealand’s largest accounts.”

CommVault's partnership with VAD will deliver even more value to both existing and new resellers in New Zealand, allowing CommVault to more easily reach and identify resellers that have the capabilities and experience to develop, market, deliver and implement CommVault's software solutions.  Under the partnership agreement, VAD will distribute the full CommVault Simpana™ 7.0 software suite including Data Protection, Replication, Archive, Search and Storage Resource Management modules.  As the principal distributor for the full range of IBM hardware in New Zealand, VAD’s partnership with CommVault complements VAD’s existing distribution agreement with IBM.

According to Stuart Alexander, sales director at VAD, “When selecting new vendor partners our criteria is clear – exceptional product, clear value to end-customer environments and an offering that complements our existing vendor partners. Partnering with CommVault was an easy decision for us since their technology has already been embraced by our channel community.  Representing a high value, innovative market leader such as CommVault is incredibly important to us, and demonstrates to our channel community that our first priority is to supply them with best-of-breed products and solutions.”

This latest announcement builds on a number of agreements CommVault has signed in recent months.  Just last month, CommVault signed distribution agreements with two leading Russian resellers CROC Inc. and Inform Project Ltd., and also announced its first entry into the Indian market with a distribution agreement with Inflow Technologies.  Also in October, CommVault extended its OEM agreements with HDS and Dell to deliver its Simpana™ 7.0 software suite.
