Fort Lauderdale Meeting Set for November 14 to16, 2007

ATLANTA, 13th November, 2007 – GT Software [www.gtsoftware.com], a leading provider of rapid SOA development solutions that leverage mainframe resources, today announced its first Distributor Forum. Set for Nov. 14-16 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the meeting will assemble GT Software’s growing community of domestic and worldwide distributors of the company’s Ivory Service Architect product line.

The three-day meeting will provide an opportunity for the company to update its community with a product roadmap, and serve as a networking forum for distributors to share experiences with their counterparts.

Ivory Service Architect consists of Ivory Studio, a graphical modeling environment; Ivory Server, a high-performance SOAP processor with runtime service orchestration; and the recently-introduced Ivory Server for Batch. Ivory supports deployment of mainframe-based Web services across the widest range of platforms, giving organizations broad flexibility in where they choose to house SOA-related workload.

“The modernization of legacy mainframe applications for SOA is a mission-critical strategy for our market, and Ivory’s strength is unparalleled,” said Axel Rittershaus for Machold Systemhaus 21, of Germany. “GT Software’s experience in the German market makes them an ideal business partner. This first distributors’ meeting will go far towards further building our relationship and uncovering new areas of business development.”

“Web services seem to have taken some companies by surprise, but GT Software has long enjoyed a leadership position, especially with regard to converting existing mainframe resources to the 21st-century architecture,” said Jaap Franse, director of distributor Systemation AES B.V. “When our customers think ‘SOA,’ they think Ivory. It is great to have such a solid business partner who can service our technical requirements and help us meet the needs of our customers.”

Based in The Netherlands, Systemation provides organizations with advanced IT-solutions that enable enterprises to modernize and simplify their IT architecture, processes, applications and infrastructure.

“This first Distributor Forum marks a milestone for GT Software. It signals our growing worldwide customer base as well as a community of talented distributors who are committed to helping their customers achieve success,” said Rob Morris, chief strategy officer at GT Software, “Systemation and Machold out of Germany, as well as JVL in France represent some of our longest-standing distributors. These partners bring valuable experience to share, and we all look forward to the exchange of ideas that this type of setting encourages.”

“GT Software continues to create significant revenue opportunities for our distributor network,” said Wilson Rains, vice president of alliances.  “We are actively seeking to expand our network with experienced mainframe integration software expertise in the UK, Nordics, South America and Asia Pacific regions.” To discuss these opportunities please contact [email protected].
