The 2nd-annual Business Women Series, held in Irvine, California
on Thursday June 8, 2006, will assist women in learning new
business development strategies as well as achieve total well
being.
Whether it’s the need for more flexibility in their schedules or
an inner call to make their dreams into reality, there is no
doubt that women-owned businesses are making a huge impact on
our national economy. According to statistics from the Center
for Women’s Research and the Small Business Administration,
women-owned businesses has grown 50 percent over the last 10
years, growing twice as fast as any other type of business
throughout recent years.
Whatever the reason that women are starting their own business,
there is one underlying characteristic they all have – all are
risk takers. And while the Center for Women’s Research indicates
that newer women-owned firms tend to be founded by women with
managerial experience, there is no doubt that there is a
continual need for women to educate themselves on new business
strategies that can help grow their organizations.
“Women typically find that they have to assume many different
roles when they start their own business, and for many that is
overwhelming,” said Aggie Kobrin, founder of Conference and Expo
Connections, LLC, which will be holding the 2nd-annual Business
Women Series on June 8 in Irvine, Calif. “That’s why it is so
essential to offer women business owners support and education
on how to achieve a solid foundation and grow their business.”
Kobrin created the event to assist women to learn new
cutting-edge business development strategies and develop the
skills needed to run a successful business. The Business Women
Series will also include Learning Sessions on Friday June 9, at
which women can take intensive half-day workshops. The workshops
offered include sessions on Personal Broadcasting, How to
Attract Clients, and the Art of the Interview. This year’s event
will include an inaugural Health and Wellness Expo, designed to
help women realize that a successful business starts from
within. All in all, the conference will empower women to reach
their greatest potential.
“The conference is not just about building a business,” says
Kobrin. “It’s about helping women achieve their goals and
realize themselves,” Kobrin added.
This year’s conference will include over 20 experts discussing
topics such as marketing, public relations, coaching, stress
management, mentoring, and attracting clients. Among the 20
speakers and 4 panels this year include television personality
Dr. Letitia Wright, who will tape her nationally syndicated
cable show, “The Wright Place,” from the conference including an
interview with the editor of Entrepreneur magazine; three-time
Olympian and founder of OlympicMotivation.com, Ruben Gonzalez;
Mimi Donaldson, business consultant, nationally-renown speaker
and author; and Millionaire Mentor Gregory Scott Reid.
