It Is Fate or Destiny?
« Posted: October 31, 2007, 11:21:18 AM »

There are people who believe in fate and there are people who believe in destiny. Though both fate and destiny is merely the same thing but somehow they are always used in totally different situation. The later is strong and constructive while the other one is weak and unconstructive.

Which one do you believe in?

Both have the power to influence man’s thinking and thus determine the actions that they will take in their lives. So what makes fate differ from destiny?

Fate is a belief that everything has been fixed upon our arrival to this world. Everything must follow the plan and no one could ever change it. If it is good, then life will be good and if it isn’t, life seems hard even to hang on. It even claim lives of those who are weak and do not have faith.

People who believe in fate have this sort of phrase in mind, “It’s my fate to doom in failure. I will never succeed.” Believing in such way makes man a dwarf and nothing could ever be accomplished.

On the other hand, destiny sounds more positive. Destiny is the power to create and the power to change. Believing in destiny enables man to plan ahead and achieving success. Nothing is perceived as impossible as challenges and failures are viewed as the process of building success.

Destiny always comes with faith, which when combines together, lifts man high into the sky. People who create their destiny speak in success language, “I’m destined to achieve greatness and I will not be denied.”

T. Harv Eker, a great entrepreneur, speaker and author of bestseller, ‘Secrets of The Millionaire Mind’ stated that rich people truly believe that, “I create my life.” Most other people somehow believe that, “Life happens to me.”

The distinctions have been briefly drawn out. Pick your doctrine wisely. If you were to believe in fate, replace it with destiny. If you are already designing your destiny, keep on keeping it on!

“Destiny is not fate, destiny is a choice.” -Ronald Reagan
