HSL is the pioneer shipbuilding and repair yard engaged in building all varieties of ocean going vessels, offshore structures and undertake all kinds of ship repairs. We require First class Diploma holders in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering discipline for appointment as ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR (TRAINEES) on the following terms:

Qualifications:
Candidates must have First Class Diploma in Engineering (Second class in case of SC/ST candidates) in the following disciplines.
a) Mechanical Engineering
b) Electrical Engineering
c) Civil Engineering

Age:
25 Years as on 01-07-2007 (30 years for SC/ST/PH and 28 years for OBC)
3 Duration of Training: One Year

Stipend during Training:
Consolidated stipend of Rs.8,000/-(all inclusive) per month

Pay Scale & Designation after completion of training Rs.5890-175-10440 as Assistant Supervisor
GENERAL:
1. Mere possession of the requisite qualification and prescribed percentage of marks will not confer any right on the candidates to be called for written test. The Management reserves the right to fix enhanced percentage of marks as the eligibility criteria to decide the number of candidates to be called for written test with reference to the number of posts advertised.
2. The candidates qualified in the written test will have to appear for interview before the selection committee.
3. The selected candidates will have to execute a bond to serve the company for a period of 4 years after completion of Training period. They will be on probation for one year on completion of training.
4. The Management reserves the right to fix the number of posts to be filled depending upon the requirement.
5. Candidates presently employed in Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous bodies should route their applications through proper channel.
6. Single to and fro Second class fare by the shortest route will be reimbursed to SC/ST candidates as per the eligibility.
7. The prescribed application form is given in the Annexure - I of this Notification. The Application format has to be downloaded and furnish the data duly typed and submit along with the attested copies of all relevant certificates including SC/ST/OBC/PH certificates, if applicable, to the following address;
