Internet of Things: Sopra Steria launches IoT Line, its offer dedicated to the acceleration of projects and connected solutions

Paris, 13 July 2016 - Sopra Steria, European leader in digital transformation, announced the launch of IoT Line. With this offer, Sopra Steria provides general support surrounding connected objects, from design to the roll-out phase. Sopra Steria thereby enables its major clients to considerably accelerate the project production cycles dedicated to connected objects and to the development of new practices.

Sopra Steria supports its clients in their digital transformation in order to improve their growth and to deploy agile business models in the era of connected objects. A major step in the digital revolution, the Internet of Things marks a new trend. According to the firm IDC, the market for connected objects will represent 7,000 billion dollars in 2020.

"With the launch of IoT Line, a first in the area of the Internet of Things, our aim is to accelerate our clients' project production cycles to less than 12 months. It's a major challenge which will enable our clients to benefit from wonderful growth opportunities offered by this new era of connected objects", says Guillaume Roy, IoT Digital Practice Director, Sopra Steria.

IoT Line: a comprehensive and overarching offer
IoT Line is one of the most comprehensive and advanced offers that currently exists in terms of IoT project support. It combines three essential axes:

1. Consulting, which covers areas like implementation of adapted business models, training and support during periods of change;
2. Technology, which offers IoT expertise (embedded intelligence, sensors, connectivity, platforms) combined with all the other components of digital transformation which include mobility, the cloud, data management and cybersecurity;
3. Roll-out, which develops know-how throughout the whole IoT value chain, from design to roll-out;

Regarding accomplishment and support of IoT projects, Sopra Steria already has major client references from projects which improve processes (cost reduction, improved security, improved maintenance, risk prevention and quality at work) for key industrial accounts.

The national ecosystem at the heart of the IoT approach
Sopra Steria positions itself as an IoT integrator which ensures the perfect integration of each of a project's components: business model, technological bricks, orchestration of participants in partnership with the national ecosystem, etc. The latter include start-ups, technology suppliers, software publishers, research centres, schools, universities and regional Sopra Steria teams. IoT Line experts are based in two strategic centres in France; the IoT Center in Toulouse (design and prototyping of connected objects) and the IoT Factory in Angers (Roll-out) within the City of Connected Objects (http://clap33.over-blog.com/2015/06/la-france-se-dote-d-une-cite-de-l-objet-connecte.html).
