Blueair scoops international German Design Award for design excellence of uber-efficient Pro air purifier
Stockholm, October 26, 2015 – Blueair has scooped a German Design Award 2016 with Special Mention for its powerful, refined Pro indoor air purifier series. Viewed as one of the most important global competitions for product design, the German Design Award’s international jury honored the Blueair Pro with a Special Mention for its exceptional design quality.

Available in three sizes, Blueair Pro delivers off-the-scale performance to clean the air in large rooms up to 100 sq. meters of contaminants ranging from PM2.5 dust particles to pollen, volatile organic compound chemicals and viruses in 12 minutes flat. The sleek looking Pro leverages the world's most advanced modular filtration system comprising unique V-shaped filters and an optional ‘air intelligence’ module to trap allergens, dust, viruses and chemicals.

The citation from the German Design Award jury noted that German Design Award winners have ‘managed to successfully set themselves apart from the masses and are subsequently entitled to compete with the finest in the field of product design’. The Special Mention distinction is awarded to works whose design features particularly successful sub-aspects or solutions – an award that ‘honors the commitment of companies and designers’.
