Westfield Europe has developed and launched a bespoke online booking system for Westfield Presents, a live music and entertainment platform within their two iconic London shopping Centres.
Fiona Kyle, Westfield’s General Manager Events & Entertainment says “Westfield Presents launched in 2013 and since then over 1,000 bands and artists have performed on stage at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City. We can have 3 stages per week at each centre with one band playing every hour. That’s a potential 54 sessions to manage so the bespoke software created by MSM is an invaluable tool to help us manage bookings as smoothly as possible."
Having researched various software suppliers, Westfield commissioned bespoke software specialist, MSM in December 2014 with the new web based system being launched earlier this year.
The new system has already delivered multiple benefits to Westfield Presents enabling them to more effectively manage events; including a new user-friendly website for artists to sign up and manage their bookings, fast and accurate reporting tools to ensure scheduling and stages are optimised for performers and equipment and an overall reduction in administration time from 3 days to 1 day per week.

The system has been so successful that MSM are now working to automate the new software with Westfield’s in-centre plasma screens to allow a real-time stream of artist information.
Prior to the development, Westfield were managing a large Excel spreadsheet that was liable to crash and duplicate data. The automated system consists of an online booking site (to replace paper application forms) which is integrated with custom-built database software.
