St Giles Hotel partners with iBAHN to deliver WiFi services
« Posted: May 11, 2011, 03:04:59 PM »

London - (11 May 2011) – iBAHN, the worldwide leader in digital entertainment and Internet solutions for the hospitality and meeting industries, today announces that it has completed a full WiFi services installation at the St Giles Hotel.

The hotel is equipped with iBAHN’s WiFi services allowing guests in the public areas to access the internet securely, with a high quality of service and technical support in key languages. In addition, iBAHN also has provided WiFi services for the hotel’s conference spaces.

The St Giles Hotel in Central London is known to be one of Europe's largest independent hotels with a total of 705 rooms, situated just off Oxford Street. With a location close to London’s major shopping centre and museums, and just minutes away from mainline and underground stations, St Giles offers a prized combination of location and facilities.

Business travellers with sensitive corporate information will benefit from the highest standards of data security through iBAHN’s Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) solution, which vastly reduces the possibility of guest data theft and provides total separation between different wireless users.

St Giles also required a digital signage solution to advertise amenities within the property. Through iBAHN’s partnership with Symon Dacon, a leading provider of end-to-end visual communication solutions, iBAHN was able to accommodate this need. The centrally managed Symon solution includes a network of small format displays in the lift lobby areas on each of the 11 floors, to promote and up-sell hotel amenities in these high traffic areas. A large format display behind reception with an integrated live TV feed is also included.

Abigail Tan, Director of Corporate Affairs for the St Giles Hotel Group, comments: “Working with iBAHN has opened up access to a quality service that meets all our digital communication, and signage needs. iBAHN is a brand that is relied upon the world over and offers the security and flexibility that our guests demand from their services.”

Graeme Powell, Managing Director EMEA, iBAHN, adds: “The St Giles is a truly remarkable location, with 705 rooms and conference areas it offers accommodation on a significant scale. iBAHN’s broadband services will allow the hotel to increase guest satisfaction and deliver 24/7 Internet access with full support in a range of languages, which has long been an essential service for the modern hotel guest.”
