SANTA BARBARA, Calif, STOCKHOLM, Sweden, and LONDON, United Kingdom, - January 11, 2011 - Occam Networks®, Inc. (Nasdaq: OCNW), a leading broadband access solutions provider, is welcoming Sweden-based Cygate AB to its growing European value-added reseller network to address growing demand for fibre-to-the premise (FTTP) integration in the region.

Cygate specialises in providing total data, video, and telecommunications solutions and has offices throughout Sweden and Finland. By adding Occam's BLC 6000 multi-service access platform (MSAP) to its already extensive product range, Cygate will further enhance its proposition enabling it to provide turn-key solutions.

Mats Mägiste, Cygate CTO, commented, "We are confident that Occam Networks' optical access and DSL solutions will enable us to offer our customers cutting-edge, secure broadband options. We are dedicated to providing profitable solutions that are efficient and low-risk, and the addition of the Occam equipment will definitely strengthen our range.

"The products offer unique scalability and simplicity that will enable us to offer viable access solutions to rural locations, municipalities, energy companies and service providers that want to pay as they grow."

The BLC 6000 is based on pure-packet technologies and enables a wide variety of intensive services, including triple play, to be delivered over Active Ethernet and GPON.

Cygate is responsible for the installation and servicing of these products, but it will also benefit from comprehensive support from Occam Networks through the use of advanced network management systems.  This includes specialized support tools such as the Occam Support Secure Access Node™ (OSSAN) that streamlines troubleshooting to quickly resolve issues. Service providers are also empowered to address issues using an intuitive software packages that give total visibility of network operations, allowing for easy to operate, localised network management.

Russ Sharer, VP of Marketing at Occam Networks, said, "We are thrilled to have such a long-established and well respected reseller as Cygate as our partner. Our products provide an ideal solution to Cygate's medium-sized community and residential deployments, and we are looking forward to working with Cygate to deliver a superior broadband experience throughout Sweden."

Occam Networks, a well established US vendor, continues to build on its value-added reseller network across EMEA, and now works with organisations in the UK, Greece, Egypt, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, the Adriatic region, Hungary, France, Italy and select areas of the Middle East.
