Reports hare surfaced that Samsung has released a Twitter widget which can be used on their network enabled models, the LED 6000/7000/8000 as well as their 6 and 7 series televisions.  This means that while one is watching Star Trek for the 32nd time, they will receive any updates made to their friend's status. This widget comes as an addition to their Internet@TV service, which already sports a YouTube widget.   Functionality is included that allows a user to update their own Twitter status using their remote controls.  What may be interesting to watch is how sporting events or television networks utilize this functionality to improve the viewing experience.  Read full story...
