Tired of hearing about the bleak outlook for black men and boys, Barbara Smith is taking action. The mother of four boys and two girls is planning to open a K-4 school that caters to black males this fall. Her dream is to add a grade level each year, allowing the school to eventually offer a high school diploma and an associate's degree. Read More..
