"We've been saying 'It's coming' for a very long while,'" the post concedes. But, "It's here," the Windows SideShow Device SDK for .NET Micro Framework v1.4. Frankly, I've waited a lot longer for Windows SideShow devices, which are few at best. Maybe the new SDK will help, but I'm a born skeptic (and, yes, that is a non sequitur). Windows SideShow essentially is light-weight Vista for tiny screens (yeah, yeah, that's a simplification). Early days, Microsoft pitched SideShow for displays outside laptops providing calendaring, contact and other information. More recently, SideShow is finding niche appeal for use in other devices, such as TV remotes.
