Asus, MSI and Gigabyte see motherboard shipments drop in Nov

Due to the trend of notebooks replacing desktop PCs, first-tier motherboard makers except Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) saw their November motherboard shipments drop on month, according to sources at the makers.Asustek Computer announced November consolidated revenues of NT$75.29 billion (US$2.33 billion), an increase of 11.2% on month, but a drop of 9.9% on year. The company's accumulated consolidated revenues for the first 11 months of 2007 year were NT$666.1 billion, a boost of 44.5% compared to the same period in the previous year.
