Microsoft to Drop Appeal In South Korea Antitrust Case

Microsoft Corp. said Tuesday it has submitted a request to withdraw a court appeal against an antitrust ruling by South Korea's Fair Trade Commission.
"It is important to note that Microsoft remains committed to Korea and continues to work closely with the FTC to ensure that Korean consumers benefit from vibrant competition in the IT industry," the Redmond, Wash.-based company said in a statement.
The statement also said that the company had submitted the withdrawal request to the Seoul High Court. It didn't elaborate.
