On April 14th, 2003, NDTV simultaneously launched two 24-hour news channels, NDTV 24x7 in English, and NDTV India in Hindi, which targets the Indian diaspora across the world. Extensive technological innovations have been put into place to affect this fresh initiative. On Jan 17,2005 NDTV launched its 24-Hour Business channel, Profit. Designation Transmission Assistant Job Description This profile of work comes under the preview of the engineering department and the candidate will be deputed in the Master Control Room (MCR). The most important function of the MCR is the monitoring and troubleshooting of the transmission path (Satellite uplink) of the three channels of NDTV. The Switching between Production Control Rooms giving live news or tape play out or automation is done in the MCR along with all master recordings. Recordings of all incoming signals is also done in the MCR using live ingest systems in a totally tape less environment. Co-ordination for all the above between Production Control Rooms, reporters in the field and all bureaus are done from the MCR. Desired Profile The candidate must be graduate with 0-2 years experience in related field but freshers will also be considered if they fulfill remaining criteria The candidates must be fluent and articulate in both English and Hindi. The candidates must be willing to work on shifts and under pressure. The candidates must be go-getters with drive and initiative and who can take decisions on their feet. Candidates must be dynamic and their Co-ordination skills must be excellent Remuneration will be at par with the best in the industry.
