South Dakota teachers can get help using sophisticated tools to teach their students about geospatial technologies through the Office of Remote Sensing at South Dakota State University. Mary O’Neill, manager of the Office of Remote Sensing, recently returned from an AccessData workshop funded by the National Science Foundation and put on by AccessData in Marlborough, Mass. While there, she contributed knowledge from her work with several grant-funded programs such as SouthDakotaView, funded by the USGS via AmericaView, Inc.; the Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium, Education Public Access Resource Center, funded by NASA; and the South Dakota Space Grant Consortium, also funded by NASA. O’Neill returned with information for K-12 teachers that she presented in a recent workshop at the USGS National Center for EROS called Geospatial Technology for Educators. Read More..
