More and more academic institutions across the Middle East are turning to technology to advance their educational missions and goals. Washington, DC-based Blackboard Inc., a leading provider of enterprise software and related services to the education industry, has announced that more than 30 leading institutions spanning eight countries in the Middle East have adopted Blackboard technology to enhance teaching and learning. Among the institutions in the region using Blackboard technology are the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), Abu Dhabi University, United Arab Emirates University, American University in Cairo, Hashemite University, King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals, Kuwait University and University of Bahrain.
