Rono is taking a Cypress College computer class via the Internet while serving in Iraq. He is apparently the first Cypress College student to be enrolled in a class while in combat, said campus spokesman Marc Posner. When he's not overseas, Rono lives in San Jose. He began taking classes at the campus while living in Buena Park for four years.
