Thanks to technology, Valparaiso University students studying international economics got a wider take on their subject recently without even leaving the classroom. A World Bank-sponsored teleconference linked professor Jaishankar Raman's development economics class with students in five other countries around the globe. VU was the only U.S. university to take part in the session on development aid moderated by World Bank officials from the international agency's headquarters in Washington, D.C.
