1. Make an image with 16 x 16 resolution 2. Save as .ico file in root directory of your website 3. Place in the header<link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="http://www.yourwebsite.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" /> 4. Test your webpage you will see your icon in the title bar 5. In Internet explorer 6 you might face some problems. Just give it some time like a day or two (seriously!..). If you still want to test if you have everything right than bookmark your page you should be able to view your icon in favorites list. If you dont know how to create an .ico image. You can even do it online from http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/ |
