 Fort Leavenworth dedicates $149 million training center - DAWN BORMANN, The Kansas City Star


Fort Leavenworth on Monday officially dedicated its $149 million Lewis and Clark Center to house its Command and General Staff College. The Army school is a joint military training center where mid-level officers learn war-fighting skills and prepare for leadership positions. The technology within the center is sure to be the envy of college and university institutions across the country. Each classroom is outfitted with a camera and software to complete video teleconferencing. It allows students and their instructor to talk directly with experts across the country.
