Title: $3 software suite aims to bridge digital divide - eSchool News Post by: Tanya on May 10, 2007, 04:19:45 AM Governments that subsidize a certain percentage of the cost of computers for students to use both at home and at school might be eligible to purchase a new Student Innovation Suite of software from Microsoft Corp. for $3 per license, provided they have subsidized at least 10,000 PCs for students' personal use. The offer, which aims to help close the digital divide, includes Microsoft Windows XP, Office Home and Student 2007, Microsoft Math 3.0, and other programs--and U.S. states could be eligible.
