 How laptops change primary education - the Tide

Juliet Onah is a primary six pupil in one of the public primary schools at Gwarimpa, in the outskirts of Abuja. Like her colleagues, she wears ruffled uniform to school, no thanks to the poor power supply in the area. But one thing is exciting about Juliet and her mates — they all carry laptop computers to school. “We have been browsing on the Internet and we are very happy,” an excited Juliet says. Some 300 pupils of Galadima Primary School recently received free laptops from a U.S.-based non-governmental organisation, One Laptop Per Child .”
