Title: Online classes make up a small percentage overall, but the numbers are growing Post by: Mark David on April 26, 2007, 06:22:50 PM While still just a small part of the total, online learning is a growing part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. The system began to offer an organized support system for online classes about five years ago, said Gary Langer, associate vice chancellor for academic innovations with MnSCU. Since then, online classes have grown about 20 percent a year. Two years ago, the increase was 40 percent. Online learning makes up about 7.2 percent of MnSCU classes, Langer said.
