Aims Community College in Greeley is one of the nation's Top 10 digitally savvy community colleges, according to the Center for Digital Education and the American Association of Community Colleges. The designation is based on how colleges use technology to streamline their operations and better serve students, faculty and staff. Aims placed fourth this year in the mid-sized college category, jumping two spots higher than its last ranking in 2005. "This achievement looks at how the institution implements digital processes across the entire college," said Gary Bardsley, Aims' chief information officer. "It recognizes what the college has done in terms of the use of technology to help students learn." Aims' best marks came for technology use in ongoing faculty training, student services, in-class technology, online support, expansion of distance learning programs and college-wide wireless access.
