Title: South Dakota gets A- in technology - Dirk Lammers, Associated Press Post by: Mark David on April 15, 2007, 08:02:30 AM South Dakota students' access to technology has long ranked among the nation's best, but students now are making better use of that technology, according to an annual survey. Education Week's Technology Counts 2007 report gives South Dakota an overall grade of A-minus - behind only Georgia - for its access, use and capacity to use technology. Virginia also received an A-minus, while Georgia scored the only A. South Dakota earned an A for access, largely because its schools have an average of 2 students per computer, far ahead of the national norm of 3.8 students per instructional computer.
