But in a reversal of this trend, a Pennsylvania university is switching from Windows-based PCs to an all-Mac computing environment, and school officials estimate they'll save about $150,000 by doing so. A key development that enables this shift is Apple's decision to use Intel processors, which will allow the school's students and staff to run either Mac OS X or Windows-based applications.
