London, UK, 15 April 2015 British Cloud Network provider, Exponential-e, has been identified as one of London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. The report is a celebration of the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses. To be included in the list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, while also significantly outperforming their industry peers.

Xavier Rolet, Chief Executive, London Stock Exchange Group said: “This report is a significant part of London Stock Exchange’s broader campaign to support UK high growth companies in their journeys from Start-up to Stardom and to create an entrepreneurship revolution. I’m delighted that a strong alliance between UK Government, financial market participants, investors, entrepreneurs and companies has been created to support these inspiring businesses.”

The London Stock Exchange accolade follows Exponential-e’s listing in the latest Investec Mid-Market Index (MMI), which recognises the 100 fastest-growing private companies in the UK, as well as inclusion as a top 20 company in the Megabuyte50, one of the most rigorous growth awards.

“Our recent hat-trick of business accolades reflects the nation’s increasing demand for technology that helps achieve growth,” commented Lee Wade, CEO of Exponential-e. “As a business that prides itself on catering to the unique needs of the UK’s most innovative enterprises, being awarded the title of one the UK’s most inspirational companies is a testament to our strength in building tailored IT environments that fits our customer’s individual requirements. By concentrating on developing solutions that help them to succeed, we enable businesses to build smarter, disruptive solutions that can be scaled globally through our Cloud presence. We are delighted that Exponential-e is being recognised throughout the industry for its contribution to the growth of the UK economy.”

SMEs currently drive 47 per cent of turnover in the UK’s private sector and employ 15.2 million people. This vital group is growing in importance and in 2014 the number of UK SMEs exceeded five million for the first time [1].

“SMEs are the backbone of the UK economy, but more needs to be done to ensure that these businesses are equipped with the technology solutions and resources to scale-up to become larger organisations. Together, we need to create an ecosystem where a greater number of companies reach global scale to ensure the UK is one of the world’s leading economies for generations to come,” concludes Wade.
