The idea is simple, if you can print something on paper in 2D then why not make a printer that can use plastic and create 3D models? But did you ever image that you could one day print food? This revelatory idea comes from a company called 3D Systems, and it's amazingly innovative, beautiful and delicious.

In a few years we might find ourselves saying things like "Dessert is in the printer!".
