MS drops Drive Extender support for Windows Home Server code name “Vail”

In a blog post by Microsoft’s Michael Leworthy, Microsoft yesterday announced that it has stopped the development of Windows Home Server’s Drive Extender storage technology. The announcement comes almost eight months into a public beta of the next version of Windows Home Server, codenamed “Vail”.
