Weatherford resident Tamara Vaughn isn’t technically a teacher, but with 32 nieces and nephews on summer vacation, she might as well be. Vaughn and one lucky nephew, 8-year-old Michael Gill, sat in with a handful of North Texas educators Thursday morning while staff members at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History explained new ways to teach kids about science. The teachers prepared for battle with Jedi lightsabers made with lithium batteries and hot glue sticks, and each member of the group made their own miniature hovercraft by joining a balloon to the center of a compact disk.
