Calling students over the age of 16! Microsoft just announced the eighth annual U.S. Imagine Cup competition. Solve global problems and create innovative solutions with technology for the chance to win $36,000 in prize money. The winning team will also compete in the worldwide finals in Warsaw, Poland this July. Students must register by February 1, 2010 to initially compete in the Spring Round 1 portion. Qualifiers then compete in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. finals in April. Categories include Software Design, Game Design and Web Design. "The Imagine Cup is a unique opportunity for students to help solve real-world problems while gaining experience outside the classroom," said Anthony Salcito, vice president for Worldwide Education at Microsoft.
