According to a blog entry in Dell's website, Dell has tested hundreds of Dell systems with Windows 7 Beta and has found the results to be promising. Dell notes that the following results were observed when testing Windows 7 Beta on Dell PCs. Noticeable improvements in boot to desktop times (versus Vista) in many systemsAlmost all existing Vista drivers are compatibleGood Vista Application compatibility (including the IE 8 compatibility mode)Transcoding (ripping) media files is faster than VistaDell also plans to test the later builds of Windows 7 and share the experiences with users.
