NVIDIA announced today that it is releasing four new GPUs for notebooks: the GeForce GTX 280M and 260M GPUs and the GeForce GTS 160M and 150M GPUs. NVIDIA claims that the GTX 280M GPUs are the fastest notebook GPUs in the world, providing up to 50% more performance than the last generation. The two series of notebook GPUs offer enhanced performance, without increasing overall power consumption, according to a press release from NVIDIA today. The GPUs can, as before, be paired up in an SLI configuration to offer enhanced graphical performance, and, also as before, power up and down when necessary in order to save power, by using HybridPower.
