BECOME A SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED OFFICER IN THE SUBMARINE CADRE (TECHNICAL BRANCHES) COURSE COMMENCING -AUG- 2008

Applications are invited from unmarried male Indian citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Submarine Cadre (Technical Branches) of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Aug 2008 at NAVAC Ezhimala, Kerala.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
1. Age : Between 19 1/2 to 25 yrs. Candidates to be born between 02 Aug 1983 and 01 Feb1989 (both dates inclusive)
2. Educational Qualifications : B.E/B.Tech (or equivalent) from a Institution recognized by AICTE with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Calculation for aggregate percentage should be based on total marks obtained in all semesters (including I & II ), divided by the total number of semesters, in any of the following disciplines:-
(a) Engineering Branch. (i) Mechanical
(b) Electrical Branch: (i) Electrical, (ii) Electronics, (iii) Telecommunications, (iv) Control Engineering.
3. Physical Standards :
(a) Height and weight : Minimum height-157 cms with correlated weight.
(b) Eye sight :6/24,6/24 correctable to 6/6,6/6 with glasses
