One year Pre- Sea Training course under M.O.T Class IV, Part - "A" scheme is conducted with approval of Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Mumbai.

Educational Qualification: Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from College approved by all India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with minimum 50% marks in Graduation Level & 50%(min) marks in English Language in 10th /12th Std. or in Diploma/Degree Course conducted by Board or University.

Age limit: Not more than 24 years on date of start of training(1st September/1st March each year). Age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC as per prevailing Govt. rule.

Candidates shall be physically fit by D.G.Shipping approved Doctor as per M.S.Rule . The address of approved doctors are available at D.G. shipping we site www.dgshipping.com

Training Fee: Rs. 78,000/- (Rupees Seventy Eight Thousand only), for total course period of one year (non residential & non refundable), in the form of demand draft favouring GARDEN REACH SHIPBUILDERS & ENGINEERS LIMITED on any bank payable at Kolkata along with medical fitness certificate from doctor approved by DG (shipping) to be submitted at the time of admission.

Biodata with attested copies of marks sheet of all semesters / years of Mechanical Engineering , Marks sheet showing marks in English , age certificate, provisional/final certificate from university ( not from college ), bonafide / character certificate from college, letter from AICTE for approval of course for college, Police Verification Certificate from permanent address of the candidate. All testimonials/Certificates submitted by the candidate should be both side photocopies. The candidates shall submit Rs. 100/- in form of D/D on any bank at Kolkata as application fess in favour of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. at the time of application addressing Chief General Manager to be submitted at the time of application.

The Candidates shall submit Merchant Marine Personality Evaluation Test (MMPE) conducted by D.G.Shipping approved Test Centres(MIT Powai & LBS CAMSAR Mumbai, MERI Kolkata, NIPM Chennai, MMD Noida & MMD Kochi).
Incomplete application in any form will be rejected.
