Recruitment of Engineering Assistants in All India Radio & Doordarshan

File No.: STI(T)/DR-EA/2007.

All India Radio & Doordarshan require 281 Engineering Assistants for Radio stations/ Doordarshan Kendras/ LPTV Relay Centres in the network. The number of posts is likely to be changed. The network has been divided into five Zones i.e; North Zone, East Zone, North East Zone, West Zone and South Zone.
North Zone: Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Delhi and Union Territory of Chandigarh.
East Zone: West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and Jharkhand
North East Zone: Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram,Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland & Sikkim
West Zone: Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, Union Territories of Daman and Diu, Dadar and Nagar Haveli.
South Zone: Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Unio Territories of Pondicherry, Andaman Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

Qualification:
a) Essential: Three yrs Diploma in Radio/ Telecommunication/ Electrical/ Electronics/ IT/ Electrical Communication Engg recognised by Govt. of India. OR Degree with Physics as one of the subjects from a recognised University OR Degree in Engineering in the relevant field (as mentioned above for Diploma) from a recognised University OR Diploma in Sound Recording and Soung Engineering awarded by Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
b) Desirable: Knowledge of Wireless or Radio Engineering.

Age: 18-27 yrs as on 10.08.2007

How To Apply:
Applications should be submitted in the prescribed OMR Application Forms, which can be procured from zonal centres opted for, from 10.07.2007 to 10.08.2007 during 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs on any working day. The forms can be either collected in person or through post. The envelope of request letter should be superscribed with “Recruitment of Engineering Assistants- 2007”. The request letter for application form should be in candidate's own handwriting indicating the address for delivery in capital letters. The SC/ ST candidates are required submit original/ attested photocopy of caste certificate for purchase of application form at concessional rates of Rs.25/-. The candidates should also enclose a crossed Demand Draft/ crossed Postal Order for Rs.100/- for General/OBC candidates. Rs.25/- for SC/ST/ PH/ Ex-servicemen candidates towards application fee in favour of “Prasar Bharti (BCI)”, payable at New Delhi and a self-addressed envelope of size 14"x10" with postal stamp of Rs.22/- duly affixed on it. The DD/ PO should not be dated earlier than 10.07.2007. The name and address of the candidate should be written on the back side of the DD/ PO.

The applications should be submitted to the respective Zonal Chief engineers on the basis of zone opted for, at the address given below, by post or courier or in person so as to reach on or before 1700 hrs on 10.08.2007. The candidates who are depositing their applications personally may please deposit their application on any working day during working hours i.e. 1000- 1700 hrs.
