The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) is one of the largest company owned by Govt. of Maharashtra in Power generation and having installed capacity of 9621MW with future plan to enhance its generation capacity by 2500 MW in phase-I & 4200MW in phase-II upto March’2010. MAHAGENCO is offering employment to the eligible candidates to make a career in power sector.
Jr. Engineer (Gen.)

(1) Degree in Electrical/ Electronics& Power/ Electronics /Electronics & Tele communication/ Instrumentation/ Computer/ Mechanical/ Mining Engg./ Technology of University or Institute in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act. Or State Act.

Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science and Engineering / Technology or 3 yrs Post Graduate Degree in Master Of Computer Application from a recognized University or an Institute
Date of birth as per Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and age as on date 30/09/2007 should be mentioned.

Candidates belonging to Open category shall furnish Demand Draft of the value of RS. 350/- and candidates from Backward Class categories i.e. SC, ST and the candidates belonging to VJ(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), SBC and OBC who are coming under the concept of "Non-Creamy Layer" shall furnish Demand Draft of RS. 175/- payable to the "Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited Mumbai" drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Mumbai. The candidates not submitting the caste certificate issued by the appropriate Competent Authority of Maharashtra State or "Non-Creamy Layer" certificate along with application in case of VJ (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D),SBC and OBC will have to submit Demand draft of RS. 35 candidates for all purposes. The candidate should write his full name, caste, post code No. on the backside of Demand Draft. Fees in the form of Postal Orders/Money Order/Cash will not be accepted.
How to apply
(i) Application must be submitted in the Proforma given in the advertisement, preferably typewritten/computer print on A-4 size paper. All items of the application should be filled.
Applications duly filled in with attested copies of certificates in support of age, qualifications and caste should be submitted to the Post Box No.9006 Goregaon (E), Mumbai – 400 063. Only by ordinary post so as to reach on or before 12-11-2007. Applications received after due date (for whatsoever reason) shall not be entertained.
