The Institute of Microbial Technology, (IMTECH), Chandigarh is one of the constituent establishments of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The Institute is engaged in research in many different areas of modern biological sciences and microbe-related biotechnology, with special emphasis on research that is interdisciplinary and of a collaborative nature, such as immunity and infectious diseases, protein design and engineering, fermentation science, microbial physiology & genetics, yeast biology, bioinformatics, microbial systematics, exploitation of microbial diversity for bioactives and enzymes for biotransformations etc

Essential Qualification: Ist class M.Sc/B.E./B.Tech (Computer science /Engineering/Electronics/Communications/Information Technology) /MCA or equivalent qualification OR Ist class M.Sc (Physics/statistics/ mathematics/Biophysics) OR M.E./M.Tech (Computer Science/ Engineering / Information Technology) or equivalent qualifications.

Desirable Qualification: LAN infrastructure development installation, upgrade and reconfiguration to network (PC’s, servers). Knowledge of network hardware technologies (Routers, Switches, Firewall etc); Ability to monitor trouble shoot LAN/WAN and TCP/IP issues.
Job Requirement: Installing, maintaining and setting local area network and Internet (routers, firewalls, switches, DSLAM/ADSL).
