Applications are invited from Unmarried male Indian citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) in University Entry Scheme of Indian Navy for course commencing Aug 2087 at NAVAC Ezhimala, Kerala .
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Age : 19 to 24 years( candidates to be born between 02 August 1984 and 01 Aug 1989 both dates inclusive)
Educational Qualifications : Applicant should be studying in a AICTE approved College/Institution with one of the following disciplines and should have obtained a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks till pre final year (VI semester): -
(a) Engineering Branch. (i) Mechanical (ii) Marine (iii) Aeronautical (iv) Production (v) Metallurgy
(b) Naval Architecture Cadre. (i) Naval Architecture (ii) Civil (iii) Mechanical (iv) Metallurgy (v) Aeronautical
(c) Electrical Branch. (i) Electrical (ii) Electronics (iii) Tele Communications (iv) Instrumentation (v) Instrumentation and Control (vi) Electronics and Instrumentation (vii) Electronics and Communication (viii) Power Engineering (ix) Control System Engineering.
Note:- Candidates in their last semester (i.e. eighth semester) or qualified their BE/B Tech degree are not eligible for this entry and need not to apply.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS :
(a) Height and weight : Minimum height-157 cms with correlated weight.
(b) Eye sight : The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/24,6/24. (correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses ). Should not be colour/night blind.
HOW TO APPLY :
Application forms in accordance with the prescribed format and complete in all respects with superscription on the envelop : “APPLICATION For UES- AUG 08, Discipline..........................Aggregate percentage of Semesters (I to VI) ...........................%" are to be sent to the address given below by 07th August 2007. Application sent by Speed Post/ Regd Post/ Courier/ Email will not be accepted.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS :
(a) Application must be, sent in the format given in this advertisement, otherwise it will be summarily rejected.( b) Application must be accompanied by attested copies of :- (i) 10 th standard certificate for verification of Date of birth and other Educational certificates. (ii) Marks statement of all the semesters/ years for the education qualification of eligibility. (c) Two self addressed stamped envelopes. (d) Application and requisite enclosures must be properly tagged/stitched by thread only. (e) Application should be sent through ordinary mail: those sent by Speed Post/Regd Post/Courier will not be accepted.
