Candidates studying in the final year/ semester, of Technical Degree examination, (BE/ B.Tech) can also apply but they will be required to submit proof of passing to Recruiting Directorate (Women Entry). (A certificate from the Principal/ head of the institution must be attached with application form stating that the final results will be declared before the aforementioned date.) Candidates studying in the final year/ semester must note that acceptability or otherwise of applicant depends on submitting certificate from the principal.

Physical Standards :
Height & Weight : The minimum acceptable height and weight for a women candidate is 152 cm and 42 Kgs respectively.
Visual Standards : The minimum acceptable Visual acuity are : Distant vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse eye 6/18. Myopia of not more than minus 5.5 including astogination. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence of having undergone Radial Karatotomy to improve the visual acuity, will be permanently rejected. Also candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery for correction of refractive error are NOT acceptable.

How to Apply :-
a) Apply on YELLOW paper as per the format.
b) Apply on WHITE paper as per the format for war widow only.
c) The envelope containing application should be superscribed in Red Ink the following details: FIRST SSC (TECHNICAL) WOMEN AND WAR/ BATTLE CASUALTY WIDOWS ENTRY/ QUALIFICATION CODE..................... .

Attestation made on the backside of the photo will not be entertain.

Essential Certificates : Matriculation Certificates issued by the Board concerned (CBSE/State Boards/ICSCE) in which date of birth is reflected (Admit Card/ Mark sheet/ Transfer/ Leaving Certificate etc. are not acceptable) (b) Either the Original Degree certificate for BE/B.Tech or independent mark sheet of all years/semesters/parts of Engineering Degree for those candidates who have already passed (c) For those who are in final year/semester /part application form stating that the candidate is in final year and final result will be declared before 16th Feb 2008 (d) An affidavit stating that you are issueless (in case of widows/divorces widows of Defence Personnel). (e) Legal documents of the divorcee and an affidavit that the matter is not under consideration in next higher court. (f) A copy of death certificate and part-II order for War/ Battle Casualty Widows only. g) Attach self address envelope 25x15 cms duly pasting Rs. 5 value postal stamp on it along with the application.
