Forensics is not just one field of study but encompasses several differentdisciplines. You first decision is to determine which area most interests you.

If you would like to work in a crime lab doing analysis of DNA or drug testing, youneed a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or closely related field.

If your interest is in crime scene investigation, a bachelor's degree in lawenforcement is required.

A general science degree is acceptable if you want to test firearms or examine documents.
