CompTIA certifications are a recognized credential throughout the IT industry, validating foundation-level IT knowledge and skills. CompTIA offers twelve certification programs in key technology areas.

CompTIA A+ Certification

CompTIA A+ certification validates the knowledge and skills of entry-level computer service technicians. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers. CompTIA A+ confirms a technician's ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.A CompTIA A+ credential is the perfect entry into an IT career, and business owners who employ CompTIA A+ certified technicians notice an increase in revenue, customer satisfaction and employee retention. In fact, CompTIA A+ is part of the certification track for corporations such as Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco and Novell. In fact, many IT certifications integrate CompTIA Network+ into their curriculums. Microsoft added CompTIA Network+ into their Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) program, and other corporations such as Novell, Cisco, HP, Lotus and 3Com also recognize CompTIA Network+ as part of their certification tracks.

CompTIA Network+ validates the knowledge and skills of networking professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification that recognizes a technician's ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that CompTIA Network+ candidates have at least nine months of experience in network support or administration or adequate academic training, along with a CompTIA A+ certification.

CompTIA Security+ Certification

CompTIA Security+ validates knowledge of communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, operational security, and general security concepts.It is an international, vendor-neutral certification that is taught at colleges, universities and commercial training centers around the world. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that CompTIA Security+ candidates have at least two years on-the-job networking experience, with an emphasis on security. The CompTIA Network+ certification is also recommended.

Because human error is the number one cause for a network security breach, CompTIA Security+ is recognized by the technology community as a valuable credential that proves competency with information security. Major corporations such as Sun, IBM/Tivoli Software Group, Symantec, Motorola, Hitachi Electronics Services and Verisign value the CompTIA Security+ certification and recommend or require it of their IT employees.

CompTIA Server+ Certification

CompTIA Project+ Certification

CompTIA Project+ certification is the credential recognizing excellence in project management.It is a vendor-neutral certification that is applicable to professionals in all industries. CompTIA Project+ proves the mastery of core project management skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, communication, team building/leadership, and setting and managing expectations.

CompTIA CTT+ Certification

CompTIA CTT+ certification is the credential recognizing excellence in instruction. It is a vendor-neutral certification that is applicable to training professionals in all industries.

CompTIA HTI+ Certification

CompTIA Home Technology Integrator (HTI+) certification proves technical competency regarding the installation, integration and troubleshooting of automated home sub-systems. CompTIA HTI+ is vendor-neutral, covering technologies such as home security, audio/video, computer networks, electrical and structured wiring, HVAC (Heating/Air Conditioning Systems), cable/satellite, broadband and telecommunications.

CompTIA Linux+ Certification

CompTIA Linux+ is a vendor-neutral certification, generic across distributions, that validates the knowledge of individuals with a minimum of six to twelve months of practical Linux experience.

CompTIA RFID+ Certification

CompTIA Radio Frequency Identification (RFID+) certification validates the knowledge and skills of professionals who work with RFID technology.
