Prescription Addictions - Pain Killers
« Posted: November 03, 2007, 03:10:35 PM »

Prescriptions are doctor prescribed drugs that are given when illnesses exist. Some people learn to rely on the drugs, or else utilize the drugs to receive a high feeling, or elimination of pain. Some people experience chronic pain and will max out on painkillers to reduce the suffering.

The problem is many prescriptions given by doctors have addictive ingredients. Valiums, painkillers, and other drugs stem from illegal street drugs and have addictive ingredients that can lead to overuse.

According to statistics prescriptions is one of the leading drug addictions today. OyxContin has claimed lives in both death and addiction. OxyCONTIN is a street drug, yet doctors will prescribe the medication to treat chronic pain.

Other addictive substances and drugs include heroin, steroids both injected and pill form, cocaine, alcohol, speed, cannabis, ecstasy, hallucinogens, etc. Yet not all of these are prescription drugs, still doctors will include the chemicals into some prescriptions, which lead to addictions.

Today the only cures for treating addicts is therapy, however some drug addicts are treated with medications, i.e. opioid addictions. This type of addiction is not related to opium, yet to a degree, it is an advocate of opium addictions.

Valiums is another drug that has lead people to addictions. Other painkillers of concern include Ultracet, Tramadol, Vioxx, Celebrex, mobic, bextra, imitrex, etc. Vioxx is a drug that treats pain caused from arthritis. The drug has claimed many lives, thus recently removed from the marketplace.

As you can see medications prescribed by doctors are sometimes highly dangerous. Now we wonder where drug addicts from the street arrive, and we see that pharmacists and drug prescription manufacturers are part of the problem, if not the leading problem. If want drug dealers off the street, you need to first take the makers off the market.

Drug addicts are drug addicts because someone somewhere invited them to a drug that would take over their life. Some people are highly susceptible to drugs, while others may try the drugs and walk away free.

Prescription drugs are escalating causing addictions around the world. Sometimes has to give, since many lives are victimized. It is said that these people are subject to these drugs, which leads to crimes or death and these people are punished for the reason of what someone caused. A person addicted to medications prescribed by a doctor should not be the one penalized for his/her behaviors, since the doctors the ones leading them to addictions.

Addictions coming from prescriptions has statistically rated as the drugs ten times more common than street drugs. The addictions coming from prescription drugs are costly taxpayers beyond billions to recover the damages caused by these drugs. In fact, cocaine and heroin addictions have not succeeded prescription drugs.

The side affects of some medications can lead to cross addictions, suicidal thinking, drug addictions, depression, etc. The prescription drugs including tranquilizers and other medications including sleeping pills can lead to overdoses, addictions, etc.

Antidepressant can lead to violence, depression, compulsive-obsessive disorders, anxiety, suicide, homicide, addictions, etc.

The pills will cause withdrawal symptoms, and cause a person to experience cravings, which leads to addiction. If a person has pain, it is possible to reduce the pain without the use of prescription drugs. I am a survivor of severe injuries, which lead to chronic pain, I found frequenting the Chiropractor, exercise, and pampering your body is the answer to reducing the pain. If you just sit, down and allow the pain to control you, likely you will experience pain for the rest of your life. I survived internal injuries and my disc in my back was nearly broken. No doctor is giving me medications for the pain, and no doctor will ever get away with doing so. If I could survive the pain caused from a fatal incident without drugs, so can you.
